Purchased this last week for an upcoming trip to Europe for use as an added measure of security in the hotel rooms we are staying in. Received tremendously rapid utilizing Amazon Prime.
Tested this portable lock in my household with two distinctive doors and works wonders! With this lock on, it will make it tremendously difficult for an intruder to come in to your area. Though the red piece is plastic it is reinforced with a metal plate underneath it which makes it certainly solid! This tends to make the whole transportable lock made of metal! When installed, it was difficult for me to go in the home. I assume that I would have to kick the door in to jar this transportable lock loose.
Great extra measure of safety! I'll sleep improved realizing that even if an intruder manage to choose the locks of my hotel space, they would have to kick the door in to open it with this portable lock in spot!

When it fits, it offers a sturdy barrier, rapid to put on or remove. It can be especially valuable when renting vacation homes or condos where some realtors, property managers, or maintenance males tend to enter devoid of even knocking at instances. Also several consumers appear to have keys, and really feel entitled to enter whenever they please, at such areas. Unfortunately, it only fits conventional doors, and only when the door and lock fit the frame perfectly.
I have never been able to use it at a hotel, and also typically uncover it will not perform in ordinary doors. Sadly, housekeeping and maintenance staff have keys to ALL locks, even deadbolts, and can even get into rooms with security bars simply. I would like to see a new version of this for hotels, and some alter that would make it less complicated to use on "imperfect" doors.
